I am so Wii-Tarded!!

So i have wanted to get a Wii for a while now. I didn't pre-order it b/c i wasn't sure if it would take off and be as good as it is. It's getting harder for me as i get older to just hear about something see some screen shots and plunk down $300 for anything. So i waited. And after this thing took off like it did i was pretty sure that it would be a hit and not a flop i decieded that i wanted to buy one. Naturally everything has been sold out since... oh... the system launched. So i have been searching and searching for one for quite a while.

Yesterday i started my search again and had a list of about 15 phone numbers. I called Circuit City's, i called EB's, i called Gamestop, Toys R us, and i called targets... all to no avail. from about 9am till about 12 or so i was calling, and no one had any nor would they give me any info on if and when they would have any more. Piss on that my day was not going well...

Well... little did i know that my beautiful Loving wife was at that very moment searching for the very same thing. She was actually going from store to store trying to score a Wii. Going to the very same places that i had called (hell she was probably there when i called some of them) not to long ago. Well it just goes to show that being a woman helps to get what you want. She was able to not only score some info on when and where a shippment would be in but was able to acutally get there in time to

go out and get US A Wii!!1!!1PWN!!1!ONE!!11!

Thats right folks i have in my house right now a brand spanking new Nintendo Wii!! Its a beautiful thing. So much fun. SOOOOOO much fun!! So after the shock had started to wear off i packed up my old Gamecube and Playstation 2 and games and went back to EB and traded in my stuff for some new games. I got Zelda (suprise) and RedSteel. Now before anyone out there makes a snap judgement on Redsteel i have this to say. I enjoy the game, i have a steady hand, i don't care about how mediocre the graphics are, and the main character shares the same name as me. So when i am playing the game and they talk to the person in the lead role, i feel like its me b/c they say my name. How can you hate a game that is personalized to your name.

I haven't played Twilight Princess yet b/c i know once i start it, i will now be able to stop my self from continually playing for days on end. Wii Sports on the other hand is a lot of fun. Although i have only been able to play bowling b/c i just can't resist it for some reason, i really want to play Boxing and golf but i just can't stop bowling.

Anyway the system is exactly the shot in the arm that Nintendo and Videogames in general needed. Very very much fun! If you have the money and you can find them, maybe you can be Wii tarded aswell!!
