Still Hunting...

So the hunt continues for a house. We had a house lined up but they didn't want to take a contingency contract for us selling our house and... someone else bought it. Damnit!
I think we are up to about house number 20 on houses that we have looked at and gone thru. I can't say enough good things about our Real Estate Agent. It's a good thing he is a friend of mine i don't know if anyone else would put up with us. It's not even that we are that picky. We just can't seem to find anything that works for us that stays on the market long enough to buy, or even get to do a walkthru of.
On the up side we did have a couple come to our house and like it enough to put an offer on it. They naturally offered way under what we were asking, and that's not a good thing. We countered back with another offer but they said it was still too much. I guess they are just worried about spending the money on a house being that they are first time home buyers. But they have to consider that ours IS an end unit. That and it has hard wood floors thruout the downstairs, and a brand new deck in the back. Oh yeah and the fact that our price is still at least 5K less than any other house in the neighborhood. Oh well. So the waiting continues. This Sucks!
I just want to find a house to make my own. Paint, Pictures, new furniture, and MORE ROOM.
I'll keep the blog posted as time goes on and we see more and more houses.

That's one to grow on...

This one takes me back. I hope everyone has great memories of this show like i do. Damn Mr. Wizard could do anything. I would like to have seen a battle to the death between Mr. Wizard and Macgyver. Think of the things they would have come up with to battle each other.

Surfs Up

*sigh* I love the beach... if it wasn't for the volatile weather patterns i would totally live out the rest of my life at the beach. There is nothing better than being at the beach with friends relaxing and not having anything you HAVE to do.
I have been going to the beach every summer for pretty much my entire life. I am 28 (almost 29) and i think i maybe have missed a summer at the beach maybe twice in my life. I honestly can't say that i feel more relaxed anywhere else in the world than i do sitting on the porch of some beach house with a drink in my hand and the wind in my face, listening to the waves crash and the seagulls squawk.
For the past several years my friends and i have been going to the beach for at least a weekend every year. It's great! Good friends, great food, good times. I hope that we can go again this summer for my birthday like we did last year, and just spend the weekend at the house.
Maybe go for another night fishing adventure get boozed up, eat a lot of seafood like fuckin neanderthals, pile 6 or 7 people in my car and go to the local Brew Thru to bother the foreign girls for more beer and t-shirts. Good Times.... damn good times.

Wanna buy my house?

So my house is for sale now... what a pain. It's not so much that i have to sell the house to move, but more the fact that i have absolutley no clue if our realtor will need to show the house at any point and time. He could call and say "Yeah i got a couple that would like to see your house." and even if i am in my boxers watchin Aqua Teen and eating cheez-its i have to get up get dressed and leave my house. Now granted this has not happened yet (the house has only been on the market 2 days) but i know at some point it will, and probably when i don't want it to happen.
I really can't wait to get into my own House, and not a Town House. It's so strange i lived with my parents for 25+ years and most of that was in the country. At the time i hated the fact that i lived in out 20mins from everyone else, but now i wish i could get back there. Everytime i go to my parents house i absolutley hate it. Not that i don't love my parents and have a great time when i am there, but the quiteness of that house and land are amazing. They have a large plot of land and there aren't any major highways around them or traffic to speack of... and i love it. i walk in that house and i remember the smells and the feeling of being there on Saturdays and Sundays laying on the couch or in my bed watchin TV or Playing games or reading or not doing a damn thing and i miss that so much it sucks. So i guess what i am saying is i want to have my own place so i can start new memories of things like that.
And don't let anyone tell you that living in a townhouse is different from living in an apartment. It's not, the only difference is that you Own a townhouse not an apartment. You still have noisey neighbors, no parking, party limitations, and NO VIEW!
I can't wait to be sitting in my Mega Man Room and just chilling listening to the birds (not the neighbors).

Remember the Protector...

Well in the event that you didn't see this movie in the theater (consider yourself lucky) I found on you tube the worst and the best scenes in the movie. If you watch these you pretty much never have to worry with this movie again.

First the Worst...

Now the Best...
