Cup On Vacation
Everyone had a lovely vacation... even the cup.
Mountain Dew Game Fuel...
Halo 3 never tasted so Sweet.... Seriously i think i will be shitting out pure sugar cane logs later. This stuff tasted like cherry flavored pixie stickes that were poured into a bottle of water. It's not bad... but its not great either. I do think however that it will be a huge hit out there b/c the fan boys will buy anything with Master Chief on it.Be sure to pick one up the next time you are in 7 11 and setting up your pre-order for Halo 3.

Shock and Awe...

So i consider myself a pretty big cKy fan. I have all the albums, most of the little eps, shirts, hats, stickers. Yeah I am a fan. However I never knew where the inspiration for the cover you see above came from until today.
Randomly surfing around I found the story of Budd Dwyer. The man that inspired this cover, because he killed himself on live TV by a gun shot to the head. I also found a link thru WiKi to the video of this event. Normally i would put the video on here so that everyone could check it out but not this one. It is very grafic and dusturbing. I have seen many things in my life. Thousand of random internet videos, as well as several animals killed either intentionally for sport or unintentionaly (car accidents..) but nothing compares to this. Its just amazing to me the mental state this man was in. To have the resolve to know that he not only was going to kill himself, but do it in front of potentionaly millions of people. He was oddly enough very calm and considerate of the others in the room. His last few words were "If this will offend anyone you will want to leave the room." then he warned reporters and others not to get close "this thing will hurt someone..." that was the last thing he would say before putting the barrell in his mouth and pulling the trigger.
If you are as morbidly curious about this as i was you can do the research and find the video on your own and watch it. I won't put it on this page b/c it is to grafic to put infront of people that aren't prepared to watch a man end his life so tragicly, and trust me when i say it is very disturbing. But I thought i needed to inform others of the story behind the cover.

Welcome Home....
You're looking at the new house. That's right we finally found one, and it was a steal of a deal really. The wife and i figure we must have looked at about 30 houses all around town before we got this one. There is quite a story to this house too, allow me to write about it where no one will ever read it.
So after we had been looking for a couple of weeks this house came on the market. My wife and I saw it and decided to take a look at the house, unfortunatly before we could even schedule a showing of the house it was snatched up by another couple. Oh well, we put it out of our minds. well about a month and a half went by and we still hadn't really found a house that we liked that we could either afford or keep on the market long enough for us to put an offer on. Then this house came back on the market b/c the buyers (who were moving into town) got re-routed to another city. Well we didn't wait this time and got a showing of it the next day after it was on the market.
The day of the showing we put in an offer and were able to secure the house as our own. (subject to a house inspection next week)
This house is in a really nice neighborhood not to far from where we live now. The houses in that subdivison are really nice. The last house that sold in the neighborhood sold for like 310K. Well this house had an asking price of well under that. When we put in our offer we gave them full asking price and asked for 5K back in closing cost, to which they accepted. SWEEEEET!!
The house has 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath with a 2 car garage. The back yard is simply HUGE considering it is in the burbs. There is plenty of room for horse-shoe pits and maybe in the distant future an in-ground pool.
Best part is when we move, the wife has already agreed that i get my one room (which just happens to be the biggest in the house. I can do what ever i want to with the room (with in reason). That means i will no longer have to suffer in the "mini" man room anymore. This house ushers in a new era of rooms for me. That's right now i will have the "MEGA" Man room a.k.a. Manville.
More pics and info later... Party to follow us moving in.
Harley + Mario Kart = Love?
This is a great video of Harley's being used (or not being used you'll see) with the Mario Kart theme to make a pretty cool short movie.

That's one to grow on...
This one takes me back. I hope everyone has great memories of this show like i do. Damn Mr. Wizard could do anything. I would like to have seen a battle to the death between Mr. Wizard and Macgyver. Think of the things they would have come up with to battle each other.

Whitney was wrong...
Remember what Whitney said... "Crack is wack!"
Well if people high on crack were as funny as Tyrone, people would be disgusted AND laughing at cracky on the side of the road given a gummer for some rock instead of just being disgusted.

VT Tragedy...
Today was the "Maroon Effect" day, and everyone was asked to wear something to honor those lost at Tech. Just driving around town today i saw A LOT of people out there that were either sporting orange or burgundy in some way. Either on their car or wearing some sort of ribbon or clothing. The one thing that i did notice is, I don't think people ( at least most) are doing this to get attention or to fit in. I know right after 911 you weren't "Patriotic" if you didn't have an American Flag on your car, but i think most people had no connection to the fact that hundreds of people died that day, they were just slapping a USA sticker on the car to be like the guy they parked next to at the mall. I don't feel that this is the same thing. There is something different about the support for tech. Maybe b/c its a college that was in my state, or maybe b/c half my friends either went there or had friends or family that did or still do. Something just feels different about all this to me. It's like people actually care... could that be? Somewhere deep down do the people of Va. actually have a caring bone in them.
I have ranted a lot ... A LOT, about people that live in this state. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope, if we can all pull together and get behind the families that were involved in this event, maybe there is hope for us all...
Yeah i'm getting kinda mushy about this but i just keep thinking that if it had happened like a couple of years ago i might have lost some of my very close friends. That to me is very scary. Anyway i thought i needed to say something about all this in my own words.
To all the families of all the victims involved, you truly are in our hearts and prayers. I hope that everyone out there will never forget this week, and remember everyone that was slain in the best of ways, b/c im sure that is the way they would want to be remembered.

New Feature!!!
now that i have a new computer i can update this more often. So what better way to kick this off than with one of my Favorite Mr. Show Clips. I present to you Talkshow On A Life Raft.
Say What....?!?!?!?!
So be wary of any strange conversations that you may have in your life with random people that you may never see again. They may left you with a whole in the conversation that may haunt you (in many ways) for a long time to come.

Wii is to Games as TP is to the Toilet.
Since i got my Wii the day after Christmas i have been playing it all the time, and searching for another Wiimote with the same vigor and desperation. I finally found another Wiimote saturday but now can't find a nunchuk. Ohwell now i can at least play most of the Wii sports with/against my wife and friends.
Also i started playing Zelda Twilight Princess. It is a very sweet game. It looks great and is a lot of fun to play. Though i don't really see that it HAS to be a Wii game. Almost if not all of the elements of the game could be played on a regular GC controller. I can't really see where you absolutley have to have a Wii to play the game. Don't get me wrong it is a lot of fun to play with the Wii Controller, but if you can't find a Wii and still want to play the game or if you have a Wii and for some reason can't find the Wii version, just pick it up for the GC, it really is just as good.
Anyway i guess what i am trying to say is that the Wii is super great and i couldn't be happier that i have one. Not to metion the fact that my wife loves Ravin Rabbids and can't wait for the Mario Party 8 or Wario Smooth Moves. It really is fun for everyone, no matter your age or preferance in games.
