Cartoons...

So as most everyone knows im a big fan of the Adult Swim cartoons on the Cartoon Network. I also am a big fan of On Demand from my local cable company. Put the two together and Blamo! Great stuff.

So i watched a few of the other Adult Swim shows that i have never seen before the other day, including: The Venture Brothers, Home Movies, and The Brak Show.

The Venture Brothers:
Picture a spin off of "Johnny Quest" with a comedy twist and you have the show. One of the episodes that i watched had one of the titular Brothers in a great deal of pain from "Testicular-Tortion" im not sure if it is real but i don't want it. The voice actors i have no idea who they are except for the one guy that plays the body guard for the brothers, i don't know his name but its the guy from Seinfeld that they called Puddy, and he was also The Tick on the live action show. Very very funny stuff i highly recommend it.

Home Movies:
This one, eh i can take it or leave it. The animation reminded me of that old Dr. Katz cartoon. The Comedy writting was kinda funny, but just not enough to make me want to watch a lot of the shows over and over again. (Not like SeaLab 2021, or AquaTeen)

The Brak Show:
Crappy. Im sorry i really wanted to like this show b/c Brak is great on Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet, but his own show was just too much. I didn't laugh the entire show. actually i thought that the writers were trying to hard to be strange and out there. I was not impressed at all. No matter how badly i wanted to be.

I Love The Classics!!!

So today im picking up a game for my Xbox called, Capcom Classic Collection. Its an obvious "collection" of all the old games that Capcom put out a long ass time ago. The list includes:
1942
1943
Bionic Comando
Ghost and Ghouls
Super Ghouls and Ghosts
and yes
Final Fight!

Now you can relive the bombing of Japan, Tromping around a graveyard dispatching random Ghosts, fighting in a future yet to be named war and running around the streets beating up people with lead pipes and eating entire chickens that you just found under a beat up car to stay alive.
BBBRRRAAAAAAAAAAPP!!!

I can't wait to get home to play it!

Someone Call ix i i !!!!!

So i just wanted to do a quick rant about one of all time favorite shows.

Mystery Science Theater 3000!!!!!

PBF back me up on this one, by far one of the funniest, well written shows that used to be on tv. It is in fact no longer shown on any network that i am aware of. MST3K started out on Comedy Central then moved to the SciFi channel for the final couple of seasons. Then to the disdane of many a Mystie fan, the show went off. Luckily it was played in reruns for about 2 years after that. Then that too came to an end and now the only place you can see it, is on the loyal viewers tv's, like myself.

I tend to watch about 8 hours of it when im hit by the mood. I recently found Eegah! on dvd and watched that, whooo boy thats some funny stuff. Anyway, there have been 7 boxed sets released so far and one more due out before the end of the year. I, as the fanatic i am, own all of them, and by god so should you.

If your a fan of clever writting and comedy timing, you owe it to yourself to find a friend (im sure at least one of your friends own a dvd) and watch. If you just want to read about the shows before and/or after watching a 32 hour marathon check out the official site at:
Http://www.mst3kinfo.com you won't be disappointed.

... but watch out for snakes.

And then then was one...

So i watched the entire Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, trailer.

Yeah that pretty much clinched it for me, no way im not getting a PS3 now. That movie was amazing. Much of it was prerendered, but just the way it flowed and the articulation of each finger, his (Solid/Big Boss) hair, his cig, his eyes. Everything just looked Amazing and very very life-like.

Also have been seeing somethings from the Tokyo Game Show about the new Nintendo controller. That thing is WACKY!! its like a remote control (in the shape) but it has all the buttoms for a Nintendo Gamecube controller. Not sure how its going to work for the Revolution but it sure is Revolutionary. (i guess)

Its great to be back in action on the blog scene, for the love of god make some comments on my page lemme know what you think about things, gimme feedback.

And oh yeah ... Watch out for snakes!!

Get up come on get down w/ the SICKNESS...

I fucking hate being sick. Not only do you feel bad and look an idiot breathing thru your mouth, but it just ruins your whole fucking day/week. I have some sort of cold im sure, but at least im not alone. Most everyone i work with has some form of it. The worst part is even though now i work at a place where i could call and say "Hey i feel like a bag of ass, i can't come in." I can't do that b/c we are short staffed until wednesday, no doubt when my cold will be gone. Fuck Germs!!

What the Fuck Yo!!!?!??!

Uh What the FUCK!!!?!?!!?

Did i miss something? you gotta lemme know!

The Rise and Fall of Modern Video Games

So coming up soon enough there will be the release of the BIG two. (not really three anymore, everyone has pretty much counted out Nintendo)

XBox 360 will be coming out sometime in November. (the price point is either $299 for the regular and $399 for the hard drive and the wireless controllers.

Playstation 3 will be coming out sometime next year around spring (possibly) for around $399-$499. No real solid price has been nailed down for the system yet.

Sony, in my opionion has the upper hand on the console war. "Why?" you may be asking. Well in my opinion, from all that i have read, seen or heard (and believe you me its a lot, again im an admitted GameDork) the new "Next Generation" system from Playstation just flat out looks and performes like a Next Gen system.

Everything that i have seen (streaming video, movie clips, press releases) the Xbox 360 's stuff looks like it could be running on the current Xbox. Everything except "Gears of War" is just not impressive. It just has that been there done that feel to it. Even by the specs given the PS3 the chipset out does the Xbox. For the money im getting the Playstation 3 , it may cost me about $400 but i think its worth it. It plays all my old games, connects to my PSP, has a schload of space for upgrades, USBs, WiFi, i mean come on, whats not to love. The best part about this whole which one do i chose deal, is the fact that i can play all my old games on my Playstation. The Xbox is backwards compatable with "Most" which is more like "Some", and get this in order to play those old games you HAVE to get the Hard Drive. Thank you Bill Gates, thank you for making my choice that much easier.

Let me know which system your leaning to, and why. im intrested to know.
